This Cruise Line Is Offering Month-Long “Working From Hammock” Cruises From Miami… Starting at $6K Per Person

One of the millions of people that saw more flexibility in where you work following the pandemic? Or maybe you just want to take an extended cruise but still be able to keep up with the office?

Valiant Lady docked in Costa Maya
Virgin Voyages is offering month-long cruises from Miami that cater to those wanting to work remotely.

Virgin Voyages has a new offer that could be of interest.

The cruise line, known for doing things different than most, made waves when it announced month-long packaged cruises sailing around Europe this summer. With this offer, you could sail the Mediterranean for a month at a time with perks like a balcony cabin, laundry service, and premium wi-fi.

The only issue was that you had to fly to Europe to take advantage. Now, Virgin is offering similar setup sailing from Miami.

What it calls “WFH” or “Working From (the) Hammock” is an offer giving passengers a full month of sailings aboard Valiant Lady from Florida.

The newly announced offer includes four dates available, including one leaving in just weeks:

  • June 7-July 5
  • July 5-August 2
  • August 2-August 30
  • September 4 – October 1

Each of these cruises is actually made up of six shorter journeys consisting of four or five nights, giving you some variety in the routes, as well as a constant flow of new passengers aboard the ship. These short journeys also mean that you’ll have a day back in Miami at least once a week. Also, you’ll have regular stops at Virgin’s Bimini Beach Club as every route includes the private destination on the itinerary.

Pricing and Details

When you book, you’ll get a Central Sea Terrace cabin (Virgin’s fancy name for its balcony rooms), along with the premium tier wi-fi for the length of the cruise. Wash and fold laundry service is included, as are two premium coffees each day. The first 25 people who book also get admission to Richard’s Rooftop — an exclusive area of the ship with sundeck.

Trips aboard Valiant Lady start at $12,000 for two passengers (no word on if that includes taxes and fees). That’s $6,000 per person for a month-long cruise. Remember that Virgin Voyages includes much more in their fares than a traditional cruise, even without booking this deal, so you get more for that money than you would on another line.

All passengers have all food and gratuities already included in the fare. It also includes soft drinks and water. Wi-fi is also included, although passengers booking the month-long cruise also get the premium, higher-speed service included.

You can’t book this deal online like a normal cruise. Instead, you’ll have to fill out a form indicating your interest and the cruise line will get back to you.

In addition to the month-long Caribbean cruises aboard Valiant Lady, there are also similar options sailing from Barcelona (Scarlet Lady) and Athens (Resilient Lady). Those trips start as low as $9,990.
