New Port Everglades Cruise Parking Offers Cheap Rates

Tired of paying $15 a day for parking at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale? If you’re going on a cruise and park at the official cruise port lots. That’s how much you’ll pay. But a new parking option has just opened. And with free shuttle service to Port Everglades, it means that the new 400-space parking site near the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (just minutes from the port) will benefit out-of-town cruise travelers.

The new premium parking facility, Discount Parking FLL, will also offer valet parking, 24-hour shuttle service, guaranteed online reservations, and frequent-parker, loyalty-rewards program. While you might find a sharper discount during the grand opening period, the rate for the new lot is just $6.95 per day when you reserve online ahead of time. That’s less than half the rate of parking at the port.

Better yet, depending on which terminal you sail from, your trip to the ship can be as little as five minutes.

Discount Parking FLL is being opened by Hartford, CT-based parking operator Propark America, which owns or operates parking facilities and mobility services in more than 75 U.S. cities.

Propark’s regional vice president David Horn stated, “Whether people are flying out, or setting sail, we will provide them with exceptional service and value that we think resonates with everyone. We understand that in these parking environments, people are typically gone for several days at a time, if not a week or more. It’s important to provide these guests with the right balance of affordable rates and top-notch service.”

All told, the new lot joins about a half-dozen independent parking options for a cruise from Fort Lauderdale. With prices starting at low as $6 per day, you can save considerable money versus parking at the cruise port.

    • That is pretty far, although they do service that area. You can try it and if that doesn’t work, split your journey into two. So get picked up and then dropped off at a public location somewhere about halfway (Delray Beach?) and then call another car.
